Covenant seeks to employ passionate Christian staff of a reformed evangelical persuasion, who are keen to explore and develop their practice faithfully.

We welcome applications from suitably qualified, experienced and active Christian candidates who are keen to join our school and to develop an approach to education that is Christ-centred, biblically grounded, culturally engaging and academically rigorous. Community Development Officer

The Community Development Officer assists the school to connect with Christian families in order to bring enrolments from families aligned to the school’s vision and mission. The role includes promotion of the school, overseeing projects and activities for communications and marketing, and to assist the school to establish regular communication with former students and parents to build lasting links that may lead to future enrolments and ongoing partnership.  

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS 
•  Permanent part-time or full-time position
•  Minimum 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday, for a minimum 42 weeks per year
•  Commence Monday 14 October 2019

KEY REQUIREMENTS 
• Committed Christian of a reformed evangelical persuasion
• A clear understanding of, and commitment to the Christian vision and mission of the school, and Christian education
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills
• Demonstrated high-level ability to build rapport with a wide range of people, including staff at all levels of the school
• Experience in event planning and project management, with the ability to meet deadlines
• Developed understanding of social media and digital communications
• High computer literacy with proficiency in a range of marketing applications and programs 
• Tact, discretion, respect for confidentiality, and an understanding of the privacy implications of school marketing
• Qualifications in marketing and communications is highly desirable, and experience is essential
• Experience and/or demonstrated ability in leading a team, and experience working with volunteers
• Sound knowledge of school systems preferred

The class teacher is responsible for implementing the vision and mission of the school in the context of the classroom and other areas of the school in which they work. They should strive to understand the curriculum they teach and to communicate the content from a Christian perspective in an age appropriate manner.
