On Friday 31 May, 32 students from Years 3-6 and 40 students from Years 7-11, congregated at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre to run in the CSSA State Cross-Country. Everyone did their best on the day; some running through sickness and all running against some very good competition. There were around 180-200 students in each race!

Primary:
8/9 year boys – Daniel Smithies 24th, Ethan McErlane 32nd
10 year girls – Isy McCausland 9th, Eva Greenwell 23rd
11 year girls – Michelle Van Niekerk 27th, Ava Deck 32nd
12 year girls – Zoe Woods 5th and Sienna Dale 20th, who combined with Gabby Rothfield and Marie Johnston to come 3rd overall as a team
Secondary:
12 year girls – Laura Gelding 8th, Caitlin Elphick 20th
13 year girls – Ellen Whelan 9th
14 year girls – Bella Dale 6th, Amy Humphrey 14th, who combined with Brielle Garside and Lynette van Niekerk to come 3rd overall as a team
14 year boys – Seth Thompson 20th
15 year girls – Maddie Smithies 15th
15 year boys – Tristan Turnbull 13th
17 year girls – Ash Lambert 6th
17 year boys – Boden Garside 14th
18 year boys – Daniel Fulton 14th
Congratulations to Isy, Zoe, Laura, Ellen, Bella and Ash who have qualified for the CIS Cross-Country on Thursday 13 June.
All the students were amazing at encouraging not just our runners, but runners from many different schools, especially those who were struggling. Thanks to all the parents who helped out in so many ways.
