Writers' Workshop was super fun! For 2 days, we went to Camp Kedron to learn how to write an awesome novel! Cameron Stelzer, the author of the PieRats, Scallywags and Stroogles series, taught us how to draw, plan and write interesting sentences, paragraphs and stories. He taught us about super similies as well – “The desert was as hot as a meat pie next to the sun who was drinking a steaming mug of hot chocolate.” We played games such as “Finish the sentence”, “Battle a baddie” and “Character interviews”.
Lunch and recess were delicious! We had cookies and pasties for recess and pasta and wraps for lunch! We thank Camp Kedron for the delicious food and awesome facilities that we used. We also thank Dr Cameron for coming to Camp Kedron and teaching us so many great things!
